Vintage 9ct Gold and Opal Ring

An elegant vintage 9ct yellow gold ring, set with an oval cabochon opal (circa 10mm x 8mm / 1.5ct) displaying soft flashes of green and blue. The opal is framed by a decorative rope-twist border in bright gold and an openwork scalloped surround in a slightly darkened rose gold, with split shoulders adding to the ring's delicate design. Hallmarked for Birmingham, 1995, maker C.L & S (Charles Lyster & Son), and stamped “9” and “375” for 9ct gold.
