About Bancroft

BANCROFT ANTIQUES deals in a superb selection of fine vintage jewellery, supplemented by a collection of antique silver pieces, and a range of other quirky curiosities.

Established in 1988 by Peter and Felicity Mrkusic, and now owned and run by their son Paul, the business is based in Sandton, Johannesburg, South Africa. 

Paul Mrkusic scours the planet to bring you unconventional rarities - the collection can be viewed at the Bancroft Antiques stall at the Bryanston Organic Market most Thursdays and Saturdays, 9am - 3pm, at the Michael Mount Waldorf School, 40 Culross Road, Bryanston. 

Bancroft Antiques also exhibits at the The Firs of Rosebank Mall Antique Market, normally on the first Sunday of each month.

In addition to these, BANCROFT ANTIQUES is a regular highlight at the much anticipated and highly prestigious annual SAADA Antique, Art & Design Fairs - one in Cape Town in February, and the other in Johannesburg in October.

Paul was the CEO of the South African Antique, Art and Design Association (SAADA) from October 2013 until November 2020 and continues to serve on the association's committee - see www.saada.co.za
