Sterling Silver and African Blackwood Ring
The modern hand-made ring is made of sterling silver. It has a rounded rectangular shape front and a round back, and has two stripes of African blackwood set into it. The total width of the ring is 9.5mm with three metal stripes (circa 1.5mm; one circa 2mm, and the third 2mm). The metal stripes are separated by two wood stripes (circa 2.5mm and circa 1.5mm). The ring is marked “925”. The ring was hand-made according to the design of Ivan Mrkusic of Johannesburg.
