Antique Victorian 18ct Gold, Sapphire and Diamond Ring

A beautiful late Victorian five-stone ring in 18ct yellow gold, featuring three rich blue sapphires (circa 0.75ct combined) alternating with two sparkling old-cut diamonds (circa 0.20ct combined). The central rectangular cushion-shaped sapphire is flanked by two smaller sapphires, with the diamonds providing a lovely contrast between the deep blue stones. The gemstones are held in traditional claw settings above gently tapered shoulders, creating an elegant, timeless design. The inside of the band bears Birmingham hallmarks for 18ct gold, including the Gothic date letter 'W' for 1896. A wonderfully wearable antique ring with over 130 years of history.
