Arts and Crafts Silver and Pottery brooch

An Arts and Crafts silver brooch, c. 1900, set with a domed kiln-fired Ruskin-style pottery cabochon displaying teal and amber tonal mottling, with attractive age-related crazing to the glaze. The hand-formed silver mount features softly hammered detailing, typical of early studio craftsmanship. Fitted with its original C-clasp. Measures 50mm x 37mm x 10mm, and weighs 12.6g.
