Vintage Sterling Silver Dish with Squirrel Detail
 
The large, vintage, solid, sterling silver dish is round with an integral flat handle on which a cast silver figure of a squirrel is mounted. The dish is marked with a set of rubbed marks that appear to be British. One mark appears to be a maker’s mark, probably “C&G & Co”; what could be the town hallmark is completely indecipherable; The sterling silver, lion passant, mark is identifiable; and the is a date letter which could be “N”. The dish is also marked with a second set of marks, which are clear. Two of these have not been identified; the third is “.925”, indicating sterling silver.
