Vintage Silver, Marcasite, and Shell Cameo Pendant Brooch

The vintage silver pendant brooch has a decorative silver frame set with marcasite, and has a hinged bale for use as a pendant. The bale is connected to a detachable safety chain. It also has a pin for use alternatively as a brooch. It is claw-set with a carved shell cameo depicting an early 20^th Century lady looking to her left (approximately 41mm x 29mm). The brooch / pendant is marked “800” for 80% silver, a grade frequently used for continental European jewellery.
