Vintage Silver and Marcasite Necklace
The vintage, mid-20th Century necklace has a three-element centrepiece which is marcasite studded. The outer two elements are small and elongated. The central element is made up of 19 joined navette-shaped components. The centrepiece is suspended from a silver snail chain with a bolt ring closure. The necklace is marked “935”, which means that it is made of 93.5% silver – slightly higher grade than sterling silver.
