Vintage 9ct Yellow Gold and Chrysoprase Ring

The vintage 9ct yellow gold ring has a rectangular head with a slightly raised, openwork design. The openwork design is claw-set with seven chrysoprase gemstones (circa 3.1mm / 0.10ct each) arranged in rows of two, three and two. There are gold bars between the gemstones, which give the openwork design a “woven” appearance. The shank of the ring is stamped “9ct” and “JAYEM”. “JAYEM” is the mark for the Cape Town maker Joe Melamed.
