Vintage 18ct Gold, Pearl, Ruby, Sapphire and Diamond “Scarecrow” Brooch Pendant
The circa 1980’s brooch / pendant is in the form of a scarecrow. The body is articulated at the neck and waist. The body, scarf, hair and hat are made of 18ct yellow gold and there is a hidden golden bale and needle at the back enabling the item to be worn either as a pendant or as a brooch. The feet and hands are in the form of four pearls (circa 4.5mm diameter; round, white with slight rose overtones; good lustre; no significant blemishes). The head is made of a mabe pearl (circa 10mm diameter; round; white with faint rose overtone; good lustre; no significant blemishes). The brooch is set with a ruby (circa 0.05ct), two blue sapphires (circa 0.10ct total) and two diamonds (circa 0.06ct total). The brooch is marked “750” for 18ct yellow gold.
