Vintage 14ct Gold, Ruby and Pearl Brooch
The vintage, Modernist, 14ct yellow gold brooch is made up of an assembly of a number of gold rectangles, some with textured fronts. The brooch is set with four small salt-water pearls (round; 2.8mm diameter; beige with rose overtones; good lustre; smooth no significant blemishes). There is a slice of rough, low-quality natural ruby (approximately 12mm x 11mm x circa 3.5mm – 4.5ct). The brooch is marked “585; FIP?”. What appears to be “FIP” would be the maker’s mark.
