Sterling Silver Sugar Sifter by J Smith of Edinburgh
 
The antique sterling silver has a fiddle pattern handle and a pierced bowl. The sifter is marked with the sterling (lion passant) mark; the hallmark for Edinburgh; the date letter for 1851; the Queen Victoria young head and the maker’s mark “JS” probably for James Smith.
