The modern, sterling silver drop earrings each have a pin and butterfly. On each pin there is a marcasite-studded, wedge-shaped element, which supports pendant double tear-drop element. Both the inner and outer teardrops are set with marcasite in a beaded surround and a carved mother of pearl flower is mounted on the inner teardrop. The earrings and butterflies are marked “925”.
