Sterling Silver and Marcasite “Heart” Locket Pendant on Chain
The modern, sterling silver, heart-shaped locket pendant is hinged, and has a pierced front and back. The locket has a small fixed ring, and hinged decorated bale at the top. The front of the pendant, the decorative element, and the bale are all decorated with marcasite, beading, and fine grooving that gives a twist-wire effect. The pendant hangs from a fine curb chain with a bolt-ring closure. The locket and the chain are marked “925”. The chain has a further mark resembling a three-leaf clover.
