The modern, sterling silver brooch is in the shape of a tulip with flower, stalk, and leaves. It is set with a teardrop-shaped, cabochon-polished, amber (11.8mm x 7.9mm – deep honey-coloured with inclusions) set into the flower. The brooch is unmarked but tests to be sterling grade silver.
