Silver Thimble Birmingham 1918

The antique sterling silver thimble has the sterling silver (lion passant) mark; the hallmark for Birmingham; and the date letter for 1918. It also has a maker’s mark which is somewhat rubbed. It appears to be “J.S” for James Swann, a noted thimble maker of the period. There is a small repair.
