The modern, sterling silver drop earrings have pins and butterflies. Each has a marcasite studded, wedge-shaped short downcomer element attached to the pin, and this in turn supports a pendant made up of joined, open, near-square, diamond-shaped elements which are also marcasite studded. The earrings and butterflies are marked “925”.
