Modernist Erich Frey Gilded Silver, Turquoise and Pearl Necklace

The vintage necklace is made up of six strands of fresh-water pearls connected to a large, gilded, sterling silver clasp in the Modernist style. The six strands of pearls are made up of respectively 60; 60; 60; 63; 65; and 64 pearls which are connected to the clasp by gilded-silver beaded connection pieces, and to three gilded silver bar spacers. The pearls are somewhat oval (circa 6-7mm long x 4 – 4.5mm diameter) and fairly Baroque. Their colour is light cream with very slight pink overtones; and their lustre is good. The clasp has a gilded front and has an irregular geometric design. It is set with a tumbled, irregular piece of turquoise (approximately 17mm x 17mm x 9mm – circa 15ct). The clasp is marked “e frey” and “silv”. The necklace is in its original box.
