Art Deco Platinum and Diamond Brooch
The Art Deco platinum brooch, with a yellow gold needle and closure, was made in the Art Deco period in the distinctive style that was emerging at the time. It has an open work body with an angular design and is set with seven round old-cut diamonds (one diamond approximately 4.1mm diameter – circa 0.30ct; colour circa H; clarity I; two diamonds approximately 3.1mm diameter – circa 0.11ct each; two diamonds approximately 2.8mm diameter – circa 0.08ct each; two diamonds approximately 2.7mm diameter – circa 0.07ct each. The brooch is unmarked but tests to be platinum and yellow 18ct gold.
