A large Goldscheider, Vienna, ceramic portrait wall mask designed by Adolf Prischl of a lady with a cream head scarf, golden hair and a blue ring. Marked “Goldscheider, Wien”, “Made in Germany”, and numbered “7813, 40” on the reverse.
 
Adolf Prischl (1912-1970) was a well-known Austrian artist and ceramist who has worked for many production houses, but around 1935 made his finest pieces, including this mask for Goldscheider.
