Antique Sterling Silver Fob Pendant and T-bar Necklace
The antique, sterling silver necklace consists of a fob pendant and a T-bar pendant suspended from a curb chain. The curb chain has a ring-link and a dog-clip at each end. The fob pendant consists of a shield with a vacant cartouche and a hinged ring bale. The T-bar pendant consists of a T-bar with a small fixed bale connected to a short length of curb chain by two joined ring links. The T-bar pendant has a larger ring link at the other end.
The curb chain has lion passant sterling silver marks on each curb link and has maker’s marks “WWC” and “JS with a star”, respectively, on the dog clips.
The fob pendant has the maker’s mark “WA” (for William Adams Ltd); the hallmark for Birmingham; and the date letter “C” for 1927.
The T-bar has the maker’s mark “JS with a star”; the lion passant sterling silver mark; and the date letter “e” for 1904. It also has lion passant sterling silver marks on the curb links.
