Antique 15ct Gold, Diamond, Pearl and Guilloche Enamel Bow Brooch
The antique 15ct white (front) and yellow gold (back) brooch is in the form of a bow with a yellow gold safety chain and pin. Parts of the front of the bow are decorated with light-blue guilloche enamel. The enamel is in perfect condition. The remainder of the front of the bow is pave-set with 39 round old-cut diamonds (12 are approximately 2.3mm diameter – circa 0.60ct total; 12 are approximately 2.0mm diameter – circa 0.36ct in total; ten are approximately 1.7mm diameter – circa 0.20ct in total; and five are approximately 1.3mm diameter – circa 0.05ct in total; making circa 1.21ct diamonds for the brooch). The centre of the bow is set with a pearl - round, 6.2mm dimeter, slightly cream with slight rose overtones, no significant blemishes, with good lustre. A ringed pearl (8.8mm x 6.2mm) is set onto a pendant supported from the centre of the bow. This pearl is light cream with very slight rose overtones, regular, no significant blemishes, with good lustre. The brooch is unmarked but it has been electronically scan tested and found to be 15.6ct white gold front; 15ct yellow gold back; and 7.7ct yellow gold safety chain and pin.
