9ct Gold and Pearl Necklace
The single strand pearl necklace has a vintage 9ct gold clasp. The clasp is of a three-lobe loop design, making it alternatively suitable for use on a triple-strand necklace, and is set with a central pearl (round; 6mm diameter) and six seed pearls (2.3mm diameter). The single strand of pearls may be of a later date than the clasp. It consists of 51 very good quality, round (8.0-8.5mm diameter), cultured, salt water pearls of a light gold colour with slight rose overtones, good lustre, and no significant blemishes. The clasp is marked “9CT” on the tongue.
