14ct Gold and Lapis Lazuli Bead Necklace
The vintage, long, lapis lazuli bead necklace consists of 61 spherical lapis lazuli beads (circa 8mm diameter – circa 51g – 255 carat) arranged in eleven sets of five beads each; and two sets, each of three beads, one either side of the clasp. The sets of beads are separated by twelve sets of 14ct yellow gold beads and a 14ct yellow gold clasp that is located between the sets of three beads. The sets of three gold beads consist of a central round bead with a fluted finish (circa 6mm diameter) and two plain round ones (circa 5mm diameter) and the gold clasp has a fluted finish to match the central beads (circa 5.5mm diameter). The clasp is marked “14K” and has a maker’s mark.
