The modern, sterling silver earrings have poles and butterflies. Each has a silver bead mounted on the pole which has a fixed small loop attached. This supports a long wire downcomer with a cruciform-shaped end, which is tube-set with a round, cabochon polished, amber (4mm diameter – deep honey coloured). The earrings and butterflies are marked “925”.
