The modern silver necklace is made up of a sterling silver mariner chain with a bolt-ring closure, and a pendant consisting of a section of a geode set with two black pearls. The pearls (cultured saltwater black pearls with rose overtones; 7.5mm diameter; good lustre; no significant blemishes) are held into the cavity of the geode by silver elements. The necklace is marked “925” showing sterling silver.
