Sterling Silver, Marcasite and Amber “Cross” Pendant
The modern, sterling silver pendant is in the form of a silver cross with a small, fixed loop and V-front hinged bale. The cross is tube-set with five oval cabochon polished pieces of honey-coloured amber, (circa 9mm x 7mm; all with some inclusions). The centre of the cross has a four-petal flower-shape, and the bale and centre are decorated with marcasite. The cross is marked “925” on the back, showing it to be sterling grade silver.
