Sterling Silver, Garnet and Marcasite “Heart” Locket Pendant
The modern, sterling silver open-work, heart-shaped, locket pendant is hinged and is set with a cut, heart-shaped garnet in the front, and has a heart-shaped, vacant cartouche on the back. The pendant has a small, fixed loop and a hinged, heart-shaped bale. The rim of the front of the pendant and the front of the bale are both decorated with marcasite. The pendant is marked “925” for sterling silver on the inside.
