Antique Gold Sliding Pencil Pendant Charm
The antique gold pendant charm is in the form of a sliding pencil set with a light-coloured amethyst at the top. The pencil has one turquoise bead set into the slide. Four spaces for similar beads are vacant. The pencil has a twist-wire bale wrapped round the stem. The pencil is unmarked but has been electronically scan tested and found to be 4ct yellow gold, which is consistent with a surface of 9ct gold applied to a steel substrate, as is usual, in forming the mechanism of the slide.
