The vintage 18ct, yellow gold ring has a raised head made up of petal-shaped elements and thinner, tendril-like elements which produce an overall effect of a protea-like flowerhead. The head is attached to a round shank. The claw-head is set with a central, round, brilliant-cut diamond (approximately 6.1mm diameter 0.83ct – colour M; clarity SI). The central diamond is surrounded by six, small, round, brilliant-cut diamonds (approximately 2.3mm diameter – circa 0.18ct total). The ring is marked “18CT” and “.83” (indicating the weight of the diamond).
