Sterling Silver and Amber “Swan” Pendant Necklace
The modern, sterling silver swan pendant has spread wings and has a small fixed loop and hinged figure of eight bale. The swan’s wings are set with two pieces of amber, which are polished in the front and engraved in the back. The engraving produces a multi-shade of amber when viewed from the front. The pendant hangs from a fine curb chain with bolt ring closure. The pendant is unmarked but tests to be 925 silver. The chain is marked “925” and also has a further mark resembling a three-leaf clover.
