The vintage bracelet, with tongue-and-box closure and safety chain, is made of Goldtone, a gold-coloured metal that imitates gold and does not discolour or tarnish. The bracelet has five, twist, foxtail chains. The bracelet is signed with “Grosse (with a crown on the G)” and has a copyright mark. It is marked with the date “1958” and is marked “FOREIGN”, which indicates that it was imported into the United Kingdom. Grosse and Henkel is the brand name of a manufacturer of quality designer costume jewellery. It is reported that from 1950 the company had an exclusivity agreement with Dior. Thus this bracelet was almost certainly made for Dior.
