The vintage, hinged and sprung, bangle is made of Goldtone, a gold-coloured metal that imitates gold and does not discolour or tarnish. The bracelet is signed with “Monet” and has a copyright mark on the hinge. The bracelet opens at the front and has a textured surface between bright polished ridged edges There are polished, decorative elements either side of the opening.
“Monet” is the brand name of a manufacturer of quality designer costume jewellery. The name was established in 1937 in Rhode Island, USA. The Company has passed through various owners and production of jewellery continues to the present day in England.
