Gold Mourning Pendant / Brooch set with a Ruby and Diamonds
The mourning brooch is made of gold and some silver. It has no marks but has been tested. The main part of the brooch/ pendant tests as at least 14ct gold. The frame that holds the glass at the back tests at least 9ct. The diamonds appear to be set in silver. The item was originally made as a brooch but a detachable hanger has been added to enable it to be worn as a pendant. The hanger also tests at least 14ct. The item is set with 10 old cut diamonds of varying sizes giving a total weight of approximately 0.80 carats of diamond. It is set with a ruby weighing approximately 0.20 carats.
