The modern hand-made ring is made of palladium. It has a curved square shape and has one thin and one thicker stripe of wild olive wood set into it. The total width of the ring is 8mm with an outer metal stripe (circa 1mm), followed by a wood stripe (circa 1.5mm), followed by a further metal stripe (circa 1.5mm), followed by a further wood stripe (circa 2.5mm), followed by another metal stripe (circa 1.5mm). Due to the design and manufacturing technique, this ring cannot be resized. The ring is marked “PALL” and was hand-made by Ivan Mrkusic of Johannesburg.
