Antique 9ct Gold, Pinchbeck and Shell Cameo Drop Earrings
The antique 9ct yellow goldand Pinchbeck drop earrings are each set with an oval shell cameo (14m x 11mm) depicting a lady in classical style, one looking to her left, the other to her right. The cameos are tube-set and surrounded by a twist-wire in Pinchbeck. The earrings have coiled gold decoration at the top, forming a loop to which shepherd’s hooks are attached. The earrings are unmarked, but the hooks have been electronically scanned and test to be 9ct gold, and the frame as Pinchbeck.
