The modern, sterling silver drop earrings have poles and butterflies. An element in the form of a marcasite-studded twisted loops is attached to each of the poles. This element supports a pendant, with a pear-shaped artificial pearl set into a ‘flower petal’ setting. The earrings and butterflies are marked “925” for sterling silver.
